Having 10W of power (5W RMS), the Logitech Z200 speakers give you powerful stereo sound. This model is a part of the Z series that also offers such speaker systems as Z323, Z333, and Z313. All the models from this series are primarily designed to function as PC speakers and are offered for a low price. However, unlike the previously listed models, the Z200 is not a three-piece system: it consists of two speakers.
The speakers' bodies are made of light plastic, so they are lightweight (1.3 pounds). The units are tall and have small footprints so it won't be a problem to find a place for them on your desktop. Each speaker is just 4.9 x 3.5 x 9.5 inches in size.
This 2.0 speaker system is shipped with the Logitech Z200 manual and two cables that are remarkably long. The cable to connect the two speakers is 5-foot long and the power cable is 6-foot long. The system can be connected to any unit that has a 3.5mm port: TV, laptop, tablet, phone, walkman, etc.
Each speaker consists of two 2.5-inch drivers. The overall sound is exceptionally clear, and this is especially noticeable when watching movies and listening to podcasts; the speakers capture the spoken words very precisely. Nevertheless, they start to rattle at the highest volume levels, but if you won't crank up the volume to more than 80%, the sound will remain clean.
The Logitech Multimedia speakers Z200 allow adjusting the amount of bass by simply turning the Tone knob, but I personally don't like how it works. I recommend using the equalizer instead of this knob if you want to tweak the bass. As for me, I spent about 20 minutes adjusting highs and mids since they sounded somewhat muted.
In respect that these speakers are cheap, the overall audio reproduction is really nice. The Z200 handles most types of content well, such as games, music, and movies, but there is nothing special about the sound.
This way, considering the speakers' price-to-quality ratio, I can rate the sound at 9/10.
Logitech offers to acquire the Z200 in black or white color design. For this Logitech Multimedia speakers Z200 review, I've got a black model. The housing has a pleasant, sleek, matte finish. Generally, the speakers have a conventional appearance, without any eye-catching features. They are two tall and slim units of a quadrangular shape and two drivers in the center. Each speaker is supported by a white-colored stand that also gives a nice accent to the overall look.
The front part of the right speaker has a headphone jack and an AUX port, so you can plug in up to two devices at the same time. The Volume control dial is located between them. The Tone knob is mounted on the right side.
For the interface and convenience of use, I give this speaker system 9/10.
The Logitech Multimedia speakers Z200 with stereo sound for multiple devices, black are offered for an affordable price, have two connectivity ports, and feature two controls (volume and bass). The speakers also have a slim, minimalistic design and will easily find a place on your desk. The sound is not perfect out of the box, but most issues connected with that can be easily fixed using an equalizer.
